ok. the pictures start from the morning of the final day, where we had to reach at 7.30am, despite going home past 12 the previous night. We reached takashimaya at a disgustingly early time, first time i've been at that place so early!!! haha. i was a bit late and Dympna wanted to scare me-"eh! daniel is looking for you! he's quite pissed cos you're late and we can't start rehearsals! u better go explain to him man..." or something like that la. my reply was,"huh? aiya. no excuse. i woke up late. that's it". basically, i was too tired to bother whether or not i'd get scolded la. haha.

Lots of girls came wearing specs. hahahaa. they look sooooooo cute!!!!! anyway, we had one final rehearsal(with the male models), then had a few hours free till 12 when we had to go do our make up and stuff. mind you, some of the male models(the AMs) were quite unfriendly and egoistical k! heard from some of the girls that they almost knocked into them but instead of apologising, they muttered something that included the word "bitch"! we thought that the guys were quite arrogant- cos they didn't talk to us. i found out the next day that there was actually some language barrier- most of the models didn't speak much english. Anyway, we lazed around, rehearsed, had breakfast, went last minute shopping for shoes, then finally, make up.

This is Beno, M.A.C. make up artist- i think he's really good. He did my make up for my second shoot;the one that appeared in TNP center page- i wanted to take a full body picture of him cos he was kneeling down while doing Thana's make up and somehow i found his pose very interesting. But being right next to him, this was all i could manange =)

Anyhow, i just keep trying my luck. haha. No full frontal, but abit of his face here and there la. He was very nice to my hair-dosen't pull/tug too hard, dosen't rip off patches of hair, dosen't try to stab my skull with pins. i give him 4 outta 5 stars =) i think most of the conversations i overheard between him and his friend were in chinese- i can't quite remember. the dialougue isn't very accurate either. But it went somewhere along those lines. He's from the Toni and Guy outlet in holland village. =)

At the end of it all, the winners. =) Shikeen, Sophie and Lynn. i think shikeen improved the most when you compare the winners. i remember Denise commenting on her horsekick. And look!! No more horsekick!! Replaced by a sash, a throphy, and a fatter wallet =)

One thing that made me damn happy that night. It was alot my favourite people put together in one place. I have my darling girls-my bestfren, weiying and sheryl.

The aftermath. Went to chinablack for a while- music sucked. i headed home to rest and prepare for my taka show the following day, while Xinyu, Sarah, Jeanne went to indochine. Can you believe it? i had taken out every single pin in my hair for this picture!!! but my hair still stood, tall and stiff!! (sounds bad. i know =x)

ok. that's all. My once in a lifetime thing. TNP Newface 2005. i did a fashion show for taka on 8 oct, talked to some of the male models. My partner for that show was a korean guy named Min. Conversed with lots of sign language. haha. but we managed =) I started a conversation with Sophie's partner with the traditional "are you mixed??". trust me, people hate that question, but it works. mostly. He's JK. HE's russian chinese. (China Chinese). He taught me how to say "i love you" in russian which i forgot. blah. so i need to see him again and get him to teach me again. this time, i'm gonna write it down!! i still remember the spanish and french swear words that Renee taught me though. =) i'm expanding my language knowledge!! lalalalalaaa.

i'm so excited about wed's rehearsal. Emiko n I are gonna wear SCHOOL UNIFORMS!!!! YEH!!!!! it just feels so good cos i haven worn one for a long time.. and honestly, i kinda miss wearing one. =) We're tryng to get the other girls to come in uniform too. heh. If lots of us really wear the uniform, i think it's gonna be really fun! i can't wait to see daniels' expression. hahahaha!!

Four brothers is nice. touching, interesting, brotherly.

Whenever someone dies, a show is called touching.
If there is conflict, it is intrigueing.
If the title is four brothers, it is a brotherly show.

Four brothers is kinda a bangbang show.

it starts when some people bangbang, and some ppl die. then the brothers get together to find out who started the bangbang. they thought they found a clue, but it was a wrong clue. then they found a real clue, which lead them to the people who did the bangbang. when the people who did the bangbang realise that they had been found, they tried to bangbang the brothers, but they missed, and a car chase begain, throughout which there was lots of bangbang and eventually ended when the brothers bang the other car so hard that it did a somersaut. the brothers went over to the overturned car, got a name, then bangbang the people who did it. that was one revenge taken, but they knew it was not the end. they also had to find the people who INITIATED the bangbang. so they probed, there was a misunderstanding and men being men(better at fists then at communication), the brothers beat up one of themselves, only to realise they got the wrong idea. At this point of time, the youngest and cutest brother got tricked out of the house,(while the older, more street-wise, but not-so-good at communicating brothers fought it out it the house) and a HUGE bangbang went on, resulted in many dead men from the opposing side, and one dead young and cute brother (so sad!!) One brother managed to get a name from the driver of the opposing team, then he bangbang that driver too. A nice cop came to question them, but the nice cop got bangbang by his malicious corrupt partner. Eventually, after the funerals, the brothers got to work, start using their minds and their women, and manage to bangbang the leader who initiated the initial bangbang. The End.

I like the way they disposed of the leader's body- he'll never be found!! I like the way the brothers, when questioned by the police, said,"i did it. i did your hot young thing of a wife" or something like that. They didn't plan it, but they all taunted the police who questioned them with that same line. haha. damn cute. i like. the brotherhood was tight, and loyalty between brothers always touches me.(especially when they're not real brothers, but foster children of a very very nice lady)And all's well, ended well. The end.

did some video filming just now, and i really feel like one huge blabbering, rambling bimbo. BAH. i really don't understand myself. i can talk hours and hours of profound crap yet i stumble in front of the camera. how humiliating. i really need to practice talking to myself more.

more rehearsals coming up tomorrow. somehow, i really like rehearsals, (but i don't really like tomorrow's rehearsal cos it clashes with villa wellness and i really enjoying my thursday nights at home with my darling) everyone gets together, go through the same steps, complain about blisters, grin at each other when we walk past each other, make funny faces when we think no one else is looking-we have fun; or so it seems. i have fun anyway.

today, i brought my 4 favourite girls(the fifth one still stuck at other end of island) down to be interviewed. and i heard them shout something along the lines of... "we love you!!!" whilst i was in the other room, and it was one of those little moments in life when my heart just flutters around and i can't stop grinning. i love them too. =)

so i treated my dearies to dinner at chompchomp. i love food...... =)

sometimes, i think it's rather unfair and selfish if one were to impose on others certain restrictions just so to fit one's own wants.

i realise that people start taking advantage of their friends once their friend is able to drive. this is extremely disgusting as please realise, i know that you may want to save $1 on a bus ride, but in order to go out of the way just to pick you up (please realise in the first place that driving you is an OPTION that your friend has kindly agreed to although your friend can just leave you in the lurch and not bother at all) , your friend has to blow like maybe, $2 on petrol. And petrol is not cheap these days. But do you care??? NO. You don't care. Why? because so what if your nice, accomodating, kind friend has to spend $2 just for you, the selfish one- As long as you save your $1, you are happy. You're disgusting.

i think we all should do some self-reflection. Are you guilty of the above-mentioned? If you are, and you change, at least there is hope for you. If you are, but you don't give a damn, just remember that what goes around, comes around.

Sometimes, when you donate money to beggars on the street, only to realise later that the beggar had both hands, both legs, is young, strong and healthy, and is just too lazy to work but wants easy money, do you feel cheated??? i feel that way now. wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! today's rehearsal was soooooo much more fun. i don't know why. haha. maybe cos everyone seemed friendlier today, maybe cos the food was better, maybe cos we're starting to loosen up, maybe, for me, it's cos annabelle was there!!!! ANNABELLE!!!!! i was kinda sad that belle wasn't there yesterday.. true, there was sophie, shikeen, tabatha, emiko, con, and others... BUT. i just missed belle. haha. NO!!! i'm not a lesbian!!!! lolol.

anw, today we learnt our sequences... (i just forgot the second one.. uh-oh!!) did the "walk-walk-walk-pose" thingie- and gwen and me had so much fun doing funny poses and laughing our heads off.. i'm starting to like rehearsals, and as denise said, " make it the best time you've had ", or something close. (sorry, i have super short-term memory). poor rachel and pieling got awful blisters... ew! i hate blisters!! and con was super cute n blur.. ahha. missed tabatha tho; she brings really yummy marks and spencers sweets!!! nah. joking. she means more than just a packet of sweets. =) well...... there's sooo much more to say!!! but, i can't remember much else.. oh!!OH!!!! i scared the hell outta emiko cos i predicted everything she did in the afternoon, and she looked kind of freaked out. haha. it was just cos i spotted her at novena square laa.... heh.

just came back from J8, watched Cinderella Man. truly inspirational, touching, motivating and heart warming story.

True, it has a very typical storyline. Man gets success, Man falls, Man gets second chance, Man makes it good again.

But so what? it's the kind of story that almost everyone loves. the kind of story that every one wants to identify with. when you watch the guy, Jimmy, get up time and time again after getting knocked down, you can't help but feel for him. suddenly, i feel some of how the wife feels. the pain and anguish that sears through him when he gets punched, i feel it too. but each time he got a punch back at his opponent, despite how weak or strong that punch was, you feel the adrenalin rush through you once again, pumping you up, giving you hope to hold on that jimmy WILL WIN!!!!! true, some parts of me expected him to win. But being actually brought through the journey with jimmy, you feel his determination. You think of the times when you yourself got given the second chance-did you treasure it?? did you give it the attention it was worth? jimmy did. and he won.

i will wake up early and go jogging tomorrow. =) i hope.

anyway, Cinderella Man is a really good show that you should catch not only for the fighting. But for the courage of a man to set aside his ego for the moment, and ask for help, to the extent of begging from people who knew him as a former boxing champion, people who saw him in his better days, just to pay his electrical bills and to keep his family together. his determination and love is truly amazing.

rosti was an almost success- just that the pan got REALLY burnt. haha.

simple rosti recipe:

• boil a pot of water. (enough water to cover all the potatoes.)
• whilst waiting for water to boil, peel and wash potatoes.
• when water is boiling, put the peeled potatoes in for approximately 5 min.
• after the 5 min, fish potatoes out, and wait for them to cool.
• start shredding potatoes. (potato shredder can be found in most super markets, i think.)
• heat pan.
  
• add butter/ oil
• throw in a handful of shredded potato, use spatula to tease it into a nice round shape.
• sprinkle some salt on the potato.
• wait for the bottom of potato to turn golden brown, then flip potato to cook other side.
• once both sides are sufficiently browned, potato changes name to rosti.
• rosti is ready to be served and eaten. =)

** serve with chipolata sausages(can be found in most supermarkets) and sour cream.

i look so fugging fat. my face looks like a mooncake. so chubby i feel like chewing myself up. photos are freaking deceiving!!! i SWEAR i'm not THAT bad in real life..... =(

watched quite a few movies the past few days. watching movies make me happy. haha. specially since i watch them with my baby n my bestfren =)

like xinyu said, they're too focused on singaporean concerns and that's probably why they find it so hard to make it big globally. can't they just make a movie for pure entertainment sake??

anw, had a long needed talk with an old friend about a day back.. and i've gotten my much needed closure. i just pray that God keeps this old friend safe.
